The Family Preservation Program provides in-home therapy services to youth on probation and their families.  These services include intensive in-home therapy for a period of approximately 12 weeks depending on the need of the family.  Intensive therapy is provided for all members of the household who agree to participate to resolve issues leading to family dysfunction, as well as to refer families to other needed resources in the community.  Therapists work with families toward stabilizing the home environment and lessoning the triggers contributing to the youth’s unlawful behavior.

Services are proved for youth referred from the Office of Juvenile Justice and are coordinated with the referring Probation Officer.

Family Preservation Services are offered in a seven parish area.  Those parishes include Pointe Coupe, East Feliciana, West Feliciana, Iberville, Plaquemine, West Baton Rouge and East Baton Rouge.
